Kobe BryantView Full Collection

The Nike Zoom Kobe 1 marked the beginning of one of the most influential signature sneaker lines in basketball history. Introduced in 2005, it was Kobe Bryant's first signature model with Nike, launching a partnership that would help redefine performance basketball footwear and sneaker culture.

This exceptionally rare Player Exclusive Sample represents a unique chapter in that history. Produced specifically for Bryant in his personal size 14, the sneakers feature an unreleased black, purple, and gold colorway inspired by the Los Angeles Lakers. The uppers combine premium suede and patent leather, with Kobe's signature sword-and-sheath logo on the tongues, gold Nike accents, and personalized embroidery reading "Kobe" on the right shoe and "24" on the left.

The No. 24 detail is particularly significant. After wearing No. 8 for the first decade of his NBA career, Bryant switched to No. 24 for the 2006–07 season, beginning the second chapter of his legendary Lakers career. These samples reflect that transition, combining the silhouette that launched his Nike signature line with the number he would wear for the remainder of his career, winning two additional NBA championships and two NBA Finals MVP awards.

Beyond their rarity, these shoes carry a personal connection to Bryant. According to the pair's provenance account, Kobe was hosting his basketball academy at Loyola Marymount University when he called his longtime barber to the camp for a haircut. As a gesture of appreciation, Bryant reportedly gifted him these unreleased Player Exclusive samples and personally signed the right shoe in metallic silver marker.

The autograph is accompanied by its original Upper Deck Authenticated certificate and matching hologram, numbered SH021744. The certificate confirms that Bryant's signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck representative during the Kobe Basketball Academy at Loyola Marymount University, held July 2–6, 2007.

Preserved in deadstock, factory-laced condition, these unreleased samples bring together the origins of Kobe's Nike signature line, his transition to No. 24, and a documented autograph from a personal event in his career. Their combination of Player Exclusive rarity, original design details, and distinctive provenance makes them a significant collectible from the early years of Kobe's Nike legacy.

Condition: Deadstock and factory-laced. The translucent outsoles exhibit visible discoloration consistent with age. The right shoe features Bryant's metallic silver autograph and an Upper Deck authentication hologram. The original matching Upper Deck certificate is included.
